The way life used to be before technology

My, how the internet has changed!  I remember when I got my first computer.  I was 16 years old and it cost my mother $2500 dollars to bring home a computer that was weaker than my cell phone is now.  But, there was one cool thing that came with it, AOL!  Back then AOL would send you a cd in the mail about once a month to get you to try their AMAZING new product.  You were able to talk to people all over the world in things called "Chatrooms" at the speed of light.(OR AT THE SPEED OF DIAL UP).  Well, I was instantly hooked.  I spent everyday after school talking to HOT CHICKS all over the united states.  With every new upgrade cd that AOL sent me, I was able to upgrade my game.  What?  I can now send pictures through my computer? This is amazing!  So, I sent mom to get a scanner, and I went to eckerd drug to get some film developed. LOL.  (No digital cameras back then).  Anyway, it wasn't long until I set my eyes on my first long distance relationship.  A young girl from Pittsburgh that had a face like an Angel.
We spent hours each night talking about nothing.  I would send her lists of CD's that I had so she could go get them at CAMELOT MUSIC, and she would send me lists of movies I should go out and get on VHS.  We really didn't like any of the same music or movies, but we did share one common bond.....We were AOL nerds.  We were early adapters to a new type of technology and we loved it.  Well, after a month or so of typing to each other, we talked on the phone.  I thought that her voice was amazing!  From that moment on, I knew that I was going to take a trip to see her in a few weeks when school let out.  And three weeks later, that is exactly what I did.
The day of the trip, there was electricity in the air.  I can only imagine that this is what Dorothy felt like when she went to see the wizard.  I had my first long solo road trip (the yellow brick road) and I was on my way to see the hot girl from Pittsburgh (THE WIZARD).  Anyway, the road trip wasn't what I had expected.  The road was long and boring, and not to mention the scenery was ugly, but I still had the wizard to look forward to, and that is when I saw it "PITTSBURGH,NEXT 5 EXITS!"  I weaved in and out of traffic and was at the house in no time.  I walked up to the door, smelled my breath and rang the doorbell.  This was going to be the best weekend of my life.  I saw the door turn and the door seemed to take forever to open.  As the door opened I saw her face.  WHO THE HELL WAS THIS?  She wasn't the girl that I saw on the internet!  I tried to be polite, but I am sure that she could see the look of dissapointment on my face.  She said, "come on in, I want you to meet my parents!"  I was thinking,"While your at it, can you introduce me to the girl that was on AOL as well?"  Needless to say it was a long weekend.  The drive home was longer than the drive there and I vowed never to return to Pittsburgh again.  The moral of the story is this.  If you would have had a webcam back then, this kind of thing would have never happened.  Skype is amazing!  You can be SURE of what you are dealing with before you drive 400 miles to be decieved.
I am offering you a chance to trade for this awesome webcam!  You may just be able to find the man or woman of your dreams with this thing!  Let the trading begin!  If you would like to trade with me, email me!

Let the trading begin!

Well here we are! Day 1.  I have pulled out the most amazing pen in my house.  It writes smooth, is a bright red color and has the TEXAS PETE hot sauce logo on the side.  If you don't believe me, just take a look at the sweet photo at the bottom of the post.
Let me tell you a little about this pen.  It is made of some of the most durable plastic on the planet, so it can withstand the most vigorous of writing.  Also, it has a rubber grip near the tip so you can write vigorously for extended periods of time.  This would come in handy if you wanted to write a harshly worded letter to your husband, wife, lover, boyfriend, girlfriend or prison pen pal.  This pen also has a clip at the top of the pen so you can clip it onto your shirt or pants pocket.  This clip is what most experienced pen owners call the "HANDS FREE" option, because you don't have to carry it in your hand all the time. This allows you a free hand to do things like, shaking hands, waving to friends, blocking the sun from your face or doing the hambone dance.  It is also adorned with the Texas Pete logo.  This will surely impress your friends when you pull it out to show them how well it writes.  Speaking of writing, it writes so smooth, you almost forget you are writing on paper.  It feels like your are signing your name on the silky skin of a Norwegian skin model........or whatever else you can think of that is smooth.  Anyway, let's not be shy.  Who wants to be the first person to trade with me?  I know that this pen has practically traded itself, so step right up.

The beginning of something big....maybe.

My name is Josh Anderson and I am a morning radio DJ in Greensboro NC.  I have been a part of many radio stunts in my life.  I have stuffed potatoes in my pants and thrusted my pelvis in peoples face while I asked for directions on NATIONAL POTATO day.  I have been in the car with a P.I while he caught cheaters in a hotel in Greensboro.  I have been stuffed into a WWII plane and done loops and stalls to raise money for hurricane Katrina.  But this is the first time that I have ever tried to turn my actual life into a stunt.  Actually, to call it a stunt is kind of cheap.  Let's call it a social experiment.  Let me start by telling you the premise behind my idea.
I was driving home from work the other day thinking about the video of the day on our radio stations website.  If you aren't a listener to our show, our website, www.1075kzl.com , has a video of the day.  It is normally of a guy that has fallen off of something, or been kicked in the goody sack, or of a robbery gone bad.  Anyway, I was thinking about how these videos get so many views.  It was pretty obvious it was from word of mouth.  Then I started to think, "What if people reacted in real life like they do on the internet?"  "Could you make a part of your real life go viral?"  That is how my website www.myvirallife.com came to be.  At the moment, the website isn't ready, but it should be soon, so keep checking back.
Here is what my plan is going to be.  I am going to start off this experiment with only a pen.  Nothing special or gold plated, JUST A PEN.  From there, I will trade for something bigger or better, in hopes that I can trade that pen, for a car or a house.  I will only trade with people that have heard about it through word of mouth locally, through my site, or on facebook.  I will also being shooting videos of my endeavors all the way though the process.  You will be able to see what I traded for when and where it happened.  Later on down the road, I have some more ideas for the website, but for now I am just going to try and do it this way.  Do YOU have any ideas that I may have missed?  If so, I would love to hear them and maybe incorporate them into the plan.
     TALK TO YOU SOON!
